Ann Arbor restaurant Venue by 4M hires new general manager
Adams passionate about friendly service, neighborhood growth
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Meet Jimmy Adams, the new general manager of Venue by 4M, whose passion for hospitality stems from years of hard work and dedication in the service industry.
Adams is now leading the operations of Venue, which opened in September 2022 off East Stadium Boulevard and offers highly curated food and drinks, indoor and outdoor event spaces, open coworking space, places for meetings or corporate events, private offices and desks, coffee and more.
“I am excited to join the 4M team and tap into Venue's potential,” Adams said. “Abundant, authentic hospitality is an art, and I've spent my career expressing that artform. It's having a positive impact on someone’s day and creating small moments that can uplift and spread joy, grace and kindness. That's what hospitality is really all about, and our guests can and should expect that from us, whether they're joining friends for dinner, working on the next idea that will change the world or grabbing a coffee to start their day.”
Adams was most recently the managing partner at Aventura, another Ann Arbor restaurant, which is part of The Pulpo Group. Adams spent about 14 years with the group in a wide variety of roles, starting as a server in 2010 when he was attending the University of Michigan. He has served as a manager at the group’s multiple restaurants and grew along with the company, something he hopes to also achieve at Venue, which recently celebrated its second anniversary.
Venue is a unique place, providing places to eat, drink, work and meet all in one 25,000-square-foot space where guests can have a range of different experiences. Adams said he is looking forward to growing the business and helping it become a mainstay in the neighborhood.
During his first few months as general manager, Adams has been focusing on enhancing Venue’s website to provide more streamlined, concise information for potential customers. As he gets to know the space and the role, he said guests can expect warm, friendly service with elements of fine dining, exciting events and a booming cafe, Venue Coffee.
“We at 4M are proud to welcome Jimmy to the Venue team and know he will make great contributions because of his commitment to an amazing guest experience and to the growth of the community around our restaurant,” said Margaret Poscher, founder and CEO of 4M. “Venue is a unique space and we are excited to boost its potential with new leadership.”
